How graduate and undergraduate students differ in distance education modality (hover for details)

Key finding: Graduate students are 2.3× more likely than undergraduates to study exclusively online (23.3% vs. 10.2%). Meanwhile, undergrads are more likely to take some online courses in a hybrid format (14.2% vs. 10.1%). Graduate education has leaned into full distance delivery; undergraduate programs favor blending.
