Before founding Wasik Tutoring in 2014, Kathy Wasik worked for a large company that charged families exorbitant rates and paid tutors very little. As a result, the company could only attract inexperienced tutors, and families were left feeling dissatisfied. Wasik Tutoring uses a different model: it pays tutors some of the best rates in the business, in order to attract some of the most experienced tutors in the country. In fact, each of our tutors currently has over a decade of experience! Based in Westchester County, NY, we work with students around the globe. We custom-design tutoring programs for students at the elementary, middle school, high school, and university levels.

Setting up a tutoring program

During your first conversation with Kathy, she will assess the needs of the student. Will he need regular weekly support for a difficult subject in school? Is she hoping to increase her SAT score by 300 points? Does he need assistance on college essays? Kathy will design a tutoring program based on the student’s goals.
