The Loomis Chaffee School is a four-year, coeducational, independent boarding school located on a 300-acre campus in Windsor, Connecticut. Chartered in 1874 by five siblings whose children all died tragically and who then selflessly founded a school as a gift to the children of others, Loomis provides a superb education for motivated and talented students, inspiring in them a commitment to the best self and the common good. Academically rigorous, the school promotes the pursuit of excellence “ in spirit, mind, and body” within a community where it is easy to be “good and friendly” and where the diversity of person and idea are not only respected but championed.
