College Guidance for Atlanta and Fulton County Families

Students in North Fulton County are provided access to excellent public high schools, especially in areas such as Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Roswell, Marietta and Milton.  Rigorous courses and extracurricular opportunities abound and students benefit from highly trained and well educated teachers and counselors. However, student-to-counselor ratios at Northview High School, Walton High School, Chattahoocee  High School, Lassiter High School, Pope High School, Alpharetta High School, Johns Creek High School and Milton High School, for instance, are exceedingly high, and preclude school counselors from providing the individualized college guidance and counseling Atlanta area students and families need to enroll at the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech and other selective four-year colleges inside and outside of Georgia.

At College Transitions, our college counselors are exclusively committed to college guidance, ready to supplement the important work of school counselors, and quite capable of guiding North Fulton families through the college search, application, financial aid and enrollment process.  With more than a decade of experience in higher education college admissions consulting, College Transitions counselors are intimately familiar with the changing landscape of Georgia higher education, and have educated hundreds of students on how to maximize their admissions prospects and eligibility for important need-based and merit-based aid including, but not limited to, Hope Scholarship funds.  Services provided by College Transitions counselors encompass college list development, career and personality testing, course selection, standardized testing strategy, college essay writing, soliciting letters of recommendation, securing financial and scholarships, preparing for enrollment, and much more.  In addition we provide a variety of counseling packages that meet the unique needs and budgets of our families.

College Transitions currently provides college guidance and college admissions consulting to students attending Northview High School, Walton High School, Chattahoocee High School, Lassiter High School, Pope High School, Alpharetta High School, Johns Creek High School, Milton High School, Lambert High School, Roswell High School and South Forsyth High School.  Please contact College Transitions at 706-389-9936 or at [email protected] to learn more about our services and to learn how you can join the dozens of other Atlanta area students currently benefiting from our expertise and offerings.
