New Jersey College Admissions Counseling

New Jersey has long been considered a top producer of college-ready high school graduates. Students and families residing in Hunterdon County, Morris County, Somerset County, Bergen County, Monmouth County, and Mercer County, in particular, have access to some of the best high schools in the nation.  With strong curriculum and well-trained staff, New Jersey high schools provide students numerous opportunities to develop the skills and credentials necessary for college success; however, even the most well-resourced New Jersey high schools are increasingly unable to provide adequate college guidance. Alarmingly high student-to-counselor ratios (approaching 400:1 at many high schools) and the manifold job roles of teachers, counselors and administrators preclude most New Jersey students from receiving the level of college counseling and college admissions advice that enables them to develop a college list, plan for standardized tests, prepare for college interviews, complete college applications, craft college essays and adequately transition into a good-fit college.

As current and former school employees, College Transitions counselors value and appreciate the many achievements of New Jersey’s high schools; but we also know that staff, and counselors especially, are overburdened, leaving many New Jersey families without the college guidance and support they need.  A reputable and longstanding college counseling organization, College Transitions fills “gaps” in New Jersey college admissions counseling and provides area families with the comprehensive and responsive support they need to find, apply and transition to competitive and appropriate four-year colleges and universities.

College Transitions counselors currently provide college admissions consulting services to New Jersey high schools students residing in Princeton, Short Hills, Bernards Township, Saddle River, Millburn, Rumson, Bernardsville, Chatham, Westfield, Mendham, Franklin Lakes, Watchung, Saddle River, Ridgewood and several other New Jersey locations.  Our college counseling services are comprehensive and encompass all aspects of the college admissions and transition process, including college search, college list development, college application, college essays, college financial and scholarships and much more. New Jersey residents wishing to learn more about our services may contact us at [email protected] or 678-710-3699. We also offer free consultations by completing our short free consultation request.
