50 Best Colleges in New England – 2024
July 9, 2024
If asked to picture in your mind the most cliche American scene college possible, you’d likely insert features such as a leafy campus full of autumn hues, charming centuries-old brick and stone buildings, and aged professors shielding themselves from the harsh winter with worn herringbone jackets. Note that these quintessential features of an idyllic higher education setting all have a distinctly New England flavor. This is hardly by accident as many of the most storied schools in the United States like Harvard (founded 1636), Yale (founded 1701), and Brown (founded 1764) are situated in that very region. Our list of the Best Colleges in New England includes schools from the following states:
- Connecticut
- Maine
- Massachusetts
- New Hampshire
- Rhode Island
